Quickie Blog

Ok, here's Rodrigo... (scroll down to yesterday's blog if you don't know who he is)

Today Pol Gov class was like a German class, I don't understand a thing she said...
And Computer class was pretty boring too *sign* Mr. Neo just let us finished up our Excel work and gave us a hand-out about the Midterm exam.

But there's still something interesting that happend during the Computer class... I & Oil were chatting (pretty loud) and Mr. Neo shout out from his table that girls who talk loud aren't pretty. And well, at that exact moment Oil was the one who was talking, I already shut up... and as you all know Oil always say she is "pretty" (joking kind of way but she really means it...). I wish you could see the look on her face...

Song Of The Day

Gabrielle - Sunshine

Hey all,

Today EAP class was pretty ...hmmm... awkward, well maybe not awkward but I don't know any other words to use. I wish I had participated more, sorry Aj. Neil. But doing the compare/contrast of scuba and camping was fun though. Oil kept talking about guys with tanned skin and six pack, lol. Seriously, she was like bah bah tanned bah bah bah six pack bah cute, and so on. And that absolutely made me think of Rodrigo Santoro... lol

For thoes of you who don't know him, he's a Brazilian actor/model, starred in Charlie's Angels II and Love Actually (Karl). I was soooo crazy about him... The first time I saw him was on TV, I was about to fall as sleep because there's nothing interesting on. And then BOOM it was him on TV saying Hi and inviting us to go see Charlie's Angels. I was like I couldn't catch his name at first but I look him up on google. Then I kinda spread this Rodrigo disease to my frinds; Oil, Orm, Pat, Nutky etc... I'll post pics of him later, I saved them on another computer (rigth now I'm on my brother's). But not sure if I still got them though, will see...

Edit: Heck, forget about Rodrigo! Since I'm not gonna be on my computer tonight so I was looking for pics of him on google and look what I found!

J~O~N

So in the case that you visit Oil's blog before mine, I have to say right here again, just to make sure that you have the correct info, I like Rodrigo before Oil does! Pretty childish huh? But that's alright, that's me. lol

Anyway, in the Thai Culture class, some sophomores came in to talk about the uniform... they want us to wear uniform correctly. I agree with them but I don't really get some of the reasons that got brought up to support the point though like Chula is the first university in Thailand... or older students can pull some strings for you in the future... In my opinion, if you gotta do it right, you gotta do it right, no matter where you are or who you know.

Message from Yoko

Ok, first, I have to tell you about my dream last night...

In my dream, we all were in some screening room. Aj. Daved was showing us clips of events that happend in Thailand, so it must have been a Thai Culture class. I was about to fall as sleep and then I heard something... somthing very familiar... now the room was in silent, it was like nobody was in the room anymore... my heart beats went through the roof... the sound was so clear... I slowly opened my eyes and BOOM there was Bon Jovi on the screen (lol) It was a footage when BJ came to play a concert here either in '93 or '95, I dunno. But there's more... it even had a footage of BJ playing at the Chulalongkorn Auditiorium. Of course, they never played there, just my mind playing with me. I watched those clips in shock. After it's over, I rushed to Aj. Daved begging him for a copy of the clips but he said no... I remember seeing myself running around asking many people to help me get a copy. Then I woke up...

I know, I know, I'm being obsessive again, but it was just a dream. Maybe it's because there's a tour coming up and I have to read news about it every single day, knowing that my chance of seeing them is zero...

Now, let's move on to somthing more up-lifting (for me at least)

I got a new name today... Yoko. Oil is either Stephanie or Christina... I prefer her being Christina though, since Stephanie is Jon's daughter name. The reason why we got these names is that today in Speech class, there was three guest speakers, one of them wanted Oil and me to read something in front of the class and since she didn't know our names... she decided to name us.

Today the subject of study was about how to use your voice effectively or something to that effect. At first, we got to do things to relax ourselves - standing still listen to some sound, act like a horse, a rose etc. Then we were divided into groups of ten and got to project our voice. I think I'm one of the worse in my group coz the guest speaker that took care of my group chose me to do it again in the second round.

All in all, it was a fun class. I liked it. But I'm not gonna "project" my voice next week during the post exam though. I can yell loud enough...

And FYI, I'm almost finish my MS Excel work laew na, just the scenario left. But for those of you who already finished, you have to teach me alright? ok thanks.

Edit: Hey, my first blog is gone from the first page now, wow. So the Jovi la-la Land one is next? I love that pic of Jon. Ok, Ok, I love our pics at Ayutthaya too! lol

Gosh, how many times I heard it today lol

Today we handed in our Non-verbal Communication research/report. Pheww, one work done, just billion more to go. Not sure what Aj. John would think about the title of the report though... "Report From Stalkers" ...but at least it's unique huh? When I put the report back to the pile after took it to add Oil's and mine sections, I saw that he was looking at the cover. I just turned back and walked to my seat, well, actually I walked to the wrong row at first... but nobody saw that right? lol

btw, the CDs I bought on Ebay came today. But because of the lousiness of Thai Postal Service, the bottom right corners of both CDs are broken. Arg!

The Beatles - Yesterday

hmmm, I forgot to watch cartoon this morning... I thought it'd be on at 9:30 but actually it's 9:00, so by the time I switched to Ch 9, it was already over. Well, I'll try to catch it next week. Kaew (my friend from HS ~ Aj. Neil, she is my twin, the Darn Slow girl I was talking about in my journal) can fill me in on this episode anyway.

I wanted to do some MS Excel work today too but it's just so confusing and boring that I couldn't stand the temptation to play game instaed... So, I still have tons of work to do next week.

Heyyyy, speaking of homework... I still haven't done EAP homework yet... arg.

Heck, Sunday shouldn't be about work. Sorry.

BTW, dont'forget to check out the link below...

Fastball - Out Of My Head

Ps. to Aj. Neil - I listen to radio sometimes when I'm on my way to the uni. But I'm kinda stuck in the 90's (and also the 80's, of course) I like newer songs too but I thought you could listen to new songs on the radio anyway, so I'd better post old ones that I like. Oh, and Jon is 43...

Anyway, I feel so dizzy right now, got home from the uni about two hours ago. I went there to work on my beloved Intro Comm. research/project that due this Monday. I was there with Oil, Am, and Pooh (that's how you spell your name right?) We worked on it for like eight hours. Oil and I pretty much got it nailed now, but there's still some detail left to check/fix. It's 25% of all our points for god's sake. I hope it doesn't suck...

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris

love this song...

Nothing much today though.

Went to Mahit building at the faculty of Commerce and Accountancy to study Pol Gov. I think half the students were missing... The teacher told us that the exam is in two weeks, and we have to read like 1 cm thick of handouts for next week discussion. I hate reading books or whatever educational. Heck, I don't even read most of the articles about Bon Jovi.

Intro Comm. class was a bit more lively though since prof. John wanted us to talk about the meaning/synonym of the word "slut", what the Thai word for it etc. I heard some funny things/bad jokes, so bad that you have to laugh. lol

Anyway, when I got home, my intension was to work on Intro Comm project about Non Verbal Communiation that I do with Oil. But turned out that Oil pretty much did all the work in the research section already... Sorry "honey" (no, I'm not calling her my loved one. Most of you reading this wouldn't get the joke), I promise I'll do more work next time (in case you don't learn and still want to team up with me. lol)

Reminder: gotta watch Survivor at 11 pm...

Here ya go - 1st Jovi Free Day

Hey, I figured the title thing out! lol

Anyway, I almost went to uni late today... woke up at 6:30 to catch Oprah... watched it for a while, then fail as sleep. Well, I went to bed around 4 am last night, so that's no surprise. Woke up again at 9:10, as you know we have EAP at 10:00, so I ate in a hurried then rushed to the bathroom to take a shower. Good thing my place is close to the uni, I got there around 9:50. Just in time. lol

EAP class today was less relaxing that usual. But it's still fun though. Guess because the Midterm exam is getting close.

In the Thai Culture class, we have a special guest speaker. I couldn't catch his name, it sounded like 'Nee' but that can't be it... Prof. Daved introduced him and it took about half an hour for everyone to sit in their seats.

He talked about horror films, mainly focused on Thai ones, both old and new. He even got some clips for us to watch. Truthfully, I think old Thai horror films are silly. It might be a good fun to watch if you completely have nothing else to do though. Well, good horror films are hard to find anyway in my opinion. Then again, I'm not a fan of horror films. lol

Don't know if we have to add that Maggot Brain song to our page, or just listen to it...

Hey, I just looked them up. I know that Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow song! lol

Jovi la-la Land (kinda)

Today is a chaos!! in the morning at least, I need to vent...

Woke up at 7 am, started calling friends (I think I woke B up, sorry) to ask if their cable carries the Ophra show or if they would be able to tape it for me. Because in the US, Jon's supposed to be on today's episode. At first I planned to ungrade it at the beginning of next month. I thought it's not a live via satellite show, but then someone made me believe it is...

So all the things that bad got the best of me, I called UBC and upgraded my cable package to Platinum... had to fax a copy of ID card two times, coz the first time it didn't go through.

And you know when the episode that was aired today on UBC originally aired in the US??? November 11, 2004 Arg! I almost kick my orange bean bag, good thing I just bought it yesterday...

In the afternoon, I went to the uni because I have Computer class. Usually, I like this class. But today we studied about MS Excel. I hate Excel, I hate Math and we got to use loads of formulars. The homework for this week is tough too.

Now comes the best part. I went to Central World Plaza aka World Trade and bought Have A Nice Day today! lol I'm listening to it right now actually. I went there with my mother (well, I asked her to paid for the CD of couse) and we ate at Kobune (ko-bu-ne) too.

Wa's Have A Nice Day Recommends: I Am, Story Of My Life, Who Says You Can't Go Home?, Last Cigarette, and Dirty Little Secret (the bonus track)

Save The Trees

So this means we don't have to write our journals anymore???

Okay, where to start... I know I should have started yesterday but I thought today I would have more stuff to wirte about. Hm... start with a recap of things when I didn't have my journal with me maybe.

Sept. 15 - We went on a field trip to Ayutthaya. What I was looking forward to was to go to the ruin of old temple that Bon Jovi shot their music video, This Ain't A Love Song but unfortunately, we didn't stop there. But I had a great time though.

Sept. 16 - Or should I say 17th since it was around 2 am? Well, whatever. I stayed up all night to watch the Amsterdam Listening Party for Have A Nice Day (new Bon Jovi album). It ws sooo worth it!! I was surprised that I could watch it though since I have such a slow internet connection. The webcast started with Have A Nice Day video and then footages of interviews, the band was funny esp David. One of the questions was something like 'What's the biggest misunderstanding' and he answered 'That Jon is 6'9" and he can dunk a ball." That's funny to me anyway. Ok, then they kicked the show off with Last Man Standing, I was stunned that they picked this song as an openning. It rocked. After that, they play some more new songs like Who Say You Can't Go Home? and Have A Nice Day, and lots of the old ones.

hm... guess that's it for a recap. Let's talk about today stuff.

I woke up at 7:30 am eventhough my class is in the afternoon. Why? Well, to catch another webcast of Bon Jovi. lol This time, it's a lunch party/concert from NY. But... but... long story short, I didn't watch it. Different from the Amsterdam one, this one was being webcast on AOL and AOL is a pain for me.
AOL - Session with Bon Jovi... couldn't watch it. AOL - Live Chat with Bon Jovi... couldn't enter the room, nor watch the video afterward. AOL - Live8 ~ Philadelphia featuring Bon Jovi... couldn't watch it. AOL - Have A Nice Day lunch concert... couldn't watch it. Way of life, huh?

Anyway, so I went out to buy bean bags with my brother around 9:30. We bought two, one is orange (my pick) and the other one is chocolate (well, also my pick... my brothe leaned toward dark brown at first.) And they are HUGE! My brother couldn't see anything in the rear back. I even had to move my seat and sit literally straight. lol

Oh, today, in speech class, the quest speaker wanted us to tell him our names and answer a question and I got the hardest question EVER!! The question was if I gonna suggest a movie for hime to watch, what it would be. It's hard because I watch many movies and I could watch any of them all over again, no matter how bad it is. If I already watched it once, I can watch it billion times more. I've never know the answer to "What's your favorite movie" kinda question... So I said Love Actually (because I just watched it on StarMovie on Sunday, Rodrigo is so cute. lol) and Pirates of the Caribbean (well, it's fun to watch and Depp is in it...)

Ok, that's it for today. I'll leave you with this little quiz, here's my result.

You're Captain Jack Sparrow: smart, savvy, a demon with the eyeliner and the best damn pirate we've ever seen. And only a litte crazy. Savvy?

Which POTC character are you?
